A Middle-Earth map, drawn in Illustrator and laser-engraved into vegetable-tanned leather. Every coastline, mountain range and forest is redrawn at vector level before a single beam touches the hide. The engraving is the last step - it’s the drawing that decides whether the map still reads from across a room.
The leather is dyed and finished by hand, so no two pieces take the patina the same way. Vegetable-tanned leather darkens with light and time: yours will not look like the photograph in five years, and that is the point.
Roughly 45 x 45 cm (18 x 18 inches). Hangs as it is, or frames well behind glass. For readers of Tolkien, and for a wall that deserves something other than a poster.
