Custom Order
Some pieces you will not find in a shop. A pair of vambraces cut to the exact measurements of your forearms, an accessory from a world nobody has built yet, an object you have been picturing for months.
That is what I make on commission, by hand, in my workshop.
I have been working leather since 2007. Every commission starts with a conversation, moves through a quote, and is then built in front of you as I send progress photos. Nothing is a surprise on delivery.
Let me be straight with you from the start: a commissioned piece takes time, it costs more than a catalogue item, and it will never be an exact copy of what you saw on screen. It will be better, because it will be yours. If that works for you, let us talk.
What I make
Leather goods, and only leather goods.
Armour and pieces for cosplay or LARP, vambraces, bracers, guards. Accessories inspired by video games, films and series. Belts, sheaths, pouches, flasks, bags. Tabletop gear, dungeon master screens, trays, dice storage.
If your project is in leather and it stands up technically, chances are I can build it.
What I do not make
Better to clear this up now.
No custom patterns. My patterns exist as PDFs, as they are, and I do not adapt them to order.
No forged knives on commission for the time being. The forge is running, but not to order.
Nothing that is not leather.
And nothing built for resale. A commissioned piece is made for you, for your own use.
Worlds, licences and inspiration
A lot of my work draws on films, games and series, and it is a part of the craft I enjoy. There is a line I hold, though.
I accept a piece inspired by a world, made for your personal use, with no logo or registered trademark reproduced.
I decline exact copies intended for resale, and any piece reproducing a registered trademark.
In practice that leaves an enormous amount of room. A helm, a set of armour or an accessory in the spirit of a world is no problem at all. Counterfeiting is the problem, not homage.
How it works
1. You describe the project
Through the form at the bottom of this page, or by email. Tell me the type of object, the style you are after, and every customisation detail that comes to mind. The more you give me, the better I understand. Attach reference photos if you have any, even rough ones.
2. We talk, then I take measurements
I come back to you with questions. Depending on the piece, I will then ask for precise measurements. They are not only about fit: they tell me how much leather the piece needs, and therefore what it costs.
3. I send you a quote
The quote sets out the piece, the price and an indicative timeframe. It stays valid for two months.
I cannot take on every request. It depends on my workload and on the nature of the project, and I would rather tell you plainly than leave you waiting.

If the quote suits you, I send a PayPal payment request for 30% of the total. That deposit covers materials and commits my working time. This is when the project starts, and not before.
Once the deposit is paid, the order is firm. From there we keep working together until the piece is right.
5. The build, in front of you
I send progress photos as I work. You watch the piece take shape, you react, I adjust. That is where a commission differs from a purchase.
6. Approval, balance and shipping
When the piece is finished I send the final photos. You approve. You then settle the remaining 70% plus shipping, again through PayPal, and I send the parcel with its invoice and tracking number.
Timeframe
Allow 2 to 6 weeks depending on the complexity of the piece and the amount of work involved.
That timeframe is indicative, never guaranteed. If your project calls for a leather or a piece of hardware I do not have in stock, I depend on my own suppliers, and that can stretch the wait. I tell you as soon as I know.
A commissioned piece is not a next-day order. If you are aiming at a specific date, a convention, a birthday or the holidays, write to me early rather than late.
Payment
Everything goes through PayPal, in two stages: 30% to start, then 70% plus shipping once you have approved the finished piece.
Quotes stay valid for two months from the date they are sent.
Shipping
I ship from France to: France, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Norway, Iceland, the United States, Canada, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand. This selection reflects regulatory obligations and import restrictions on leather goods.
Minimum order values apply to the United States and the United Kingdom. They are set out in my terms of sale.
For shipments outside the European Union, import VAT, customs duties and carrier handling fees are set by the destination country and remain payable by you on delivery. They are not included in the quote.
Before you write
A commission is a commitment on both sides. Here is what you should know.
A commissioned piece takes time and costs more than a catalogue item. That is the price of hand work and of an object made for you alone.
It will never be a hundred per cent identical to what you saw in a film or a game. Leather has its constraints, a screen has none. I get close, I adapt it, I make it wearable and built to last.
Once the deposit is paid, the order is firm and cannot be cancelled. That is the normal counterpart of a piece made to your specification, and French consumer law provides for it expressly. In exchange, you follow the build from start to finish and you approve it before it ships.
The piece is made for you, for your personal use.
Statutory guarantees of conformity and against hidden defects apply as a matter of course. The detail is in my terms of sale.
